Softwashing In Texas

The Formula Roofing approach to repairs and maintenance

Each building owner has an expectation of roof life, which is typically used as a budgeting tool. We believe a realistic expectation of roof life can be realized through investment in the proven benefits of proactive maintenance. The service offered is custom, and varies from one roof to another based on factors such as age, initial condition, and materials present. It is our objective to make each building owner aware of the major service and maintenance considerations that a roof system requires. This knowledge allows owners to make informed long-term economic decisions about their roof and ensure that no major issues sneak up on you.

Soft washing is the use of water-based, biodegradable chemicals to break down dirt and grime, get rid of bug nests and webs, kill mold, mildew, algae and bacteria – leaving the surface clean and sterilized.

Soft washing consumes only one-third of the water that pressure or power washing does, lasts longer than pressure washing, and does not wear down or damage the surface like power washing frequently can. Soft washing also does far more than pressure washing because it does more than simply clean your roof. The products used in the SoftWash System don't just tidy; they penetrate, sterilize, and eliminate the root of the problem.

Treating your roof with soft washing is more like bug control – the mix of safe, eco-friendly chemicals make sure that the bacteria that cause buildup are not just partially swept away, but eradicated completely

Roof Cleaning and Beyond

Soft washing can be performed on a variety of surfaces where algae and bacteria grow:

Concrete                                           Tile                                                                        Vinyl Siding

 Brick                                                   Wood                                                                   Aluminum

And More!

Biodegradable, Eco-Friendly Chemicals in SoftWash

Oftentimes, people are afraid of the word "chemicals," but it's really not such a dirty word. Everything is a chemical, even water (hydrogen dioxide).

The chemicals used in soft washing aid in the break down of pollutants and infestations, so they can be quickly rinsed away. They do all the work without all the pressure. Our chemicals are water based, ship non-hazardous, and are biodegradable, meaning they break down into carbon and water within twenty (20) days of their introduction into the environment; leaving no contaminants behind.

Biggest Reasons to Choose Soft Washing

ALTERNATIVE TO POWERWASHING

Power washing creates erosion and strips away materials that may have been loosened by decomposition or aging. It might be appropriate for some jobs and not others.

IT ACTUALLY TREATS THE INFESTATION

Your house isn't just dirty – it's infected. Typical power washing merely removes the outer layer of this growth and doesn't fix the root of the issue, leaving your surface susceptible again not long after power washing is completed.

NO DAMAGE FROM PRESSURE

Improperly trained or inexperienced pressure washers can cause serious damage to a roof or other surfaces, particularly if it's older to begin with.

More eco-friendly cleaning method

Power washers utilize from 3 to 8 gallons of water per minute (gpm). In one hour of cleaning a pressure washer can use from 180 gallons upwards to 480 gallons of water. Alternatively, soft washing just applies approximately 60 gallons of cleaning solution, which is comprised of about 40 gallons of water.

The cleaning solution is so powerful that it lasts longer than power washing, making it more viable for the environment and your wallet.
